Year 3

Welcome to Year 3.

When your child enters Key Stage 2, they do so prepared, because of the smooth transition between the Key Stages at Tenacres.

They are already independent learners and as they progress through Year 3, they would be expected to take more responsibility for their learning and their organisational skills.

We continue to set work that is both personalised to them and that will challenge them.

We offer the children exciting, motivating and stimulating learning opportunities in their lessons. English and Maths are taught cross-curricular wherever possible.

Their learning is enhanced by school trips, visitors to our school and most importantly, allowing the children to have a say in what helps them to learn.

Throughout our rich topic led curriculum we embrace the arts to encourage their creativity and individuality.

We learn lots of different dance styles in our P.E lessons.

We go on trips to support our learning in school. Here we are at The Black Country Living Museum during our topic on Victorians.
