Hello all,
Firstly, from all the staff at Tenacres we wish all our children and families a Happy New Year. We look forward to welcoming the children back for the new term tomorrow. New topic information will be sent home with your child over the coming days with exciting details of the learning experiences to follow!
Covid Update:
At Tenacres we have decided to maintain all as before the Christmas break with year groups continuing to operate in ‘bubbles’ and the same arrangements for drop off/pick up times. All will be monitored and adapted over the coming weeks if necessary. We continue to encourage social distancing and the wearing masks etc at these times.
We will continue to inform year groups if there is a positive case. In addition, and in line with Worcestershire County guidance we will also inform you if your child has been a ‘close contact’. If you receive a text message informing you of this please follow the guidance which you will find on the homepage of the school website.
We would again like to thank our parent/carers for working in partnership with the school. We feel this has greatly contributed to minimum disruption to all.
PE days and Forest School Days (Year R only this half term):
Please see below your child’s days. Please can children be sent in appropriate clothing for these days. PE days are plain navy/black tracksuit bottoms/ plain tracksuit top/uniform sweatshirt or cardigan and a school uniform polo t-shirt and appropriate footwear. Forest school days: long sleeve tops/tracksuit bottoms/leggings. Please avoid sending children in jeans-thank you.
Reception P.E. – Squirrels – Monday / Hedgehogs – Wednesday. Forest School on Fridays for both classes starting 21st January 2022.
Year 1 PE days are Mondays and Fridays.
Year 2 PE days are Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Year 3 PE days are Tuesdays and Fridays.
Year 4 PE days are Wednesdays and Thursdays (starting next week).
Labelling: Please could all clothes (including hats/gloves and scarves) have your child’s name in. Some year groups have a number of ‘lost property’ items. If you are missing any items please see your child’s class teacher.
Reading Books: Days to change and collect reading books remains unchanged. If you have any reading books at home please return these – thank you.
Text Messages: We communicate frequently with you through our text messaging system. The system enables us to see if a message has been delivered to you . Please ensure the Office have your up to date contact details – thank you.
