Event - Tenacres Election Day

7 May 2015

Like the rest of Britain today was Election Day at Tenacres. After weeks of sharing manifestos with their classmates children went to the polls to vote for their next TAPS Council reps.

This is all part of our 'British Values' curriculum as we have been focussing on Democracy with the children over this half term. Our Governor, Jackie Cornish was the official registering the children and issuing the ballot papers. Some of the candidates wore rosettes around school in a bid to win as many votes as possible.

Some of the children's manifestos included many wonderful ideas which will be shared once the results are in. The elected reps will be announced in our 'live' results assembly tomorrow.
