Introduction

A big welcome to our school!

Tenacres First school is situated on the eastern boundary of Redditch, about 4 km from the town centre and was built in 1975.

It stands on a split-level site and has the advantage of spacious grounds including a large sports field and three playgrounds.

The classrooms are arranged around an inner courtyard, developed as an attractive garden/wild life area. Parts of the grounds are tended by the school’s own Eco Club.

The school caters for children aged 4 to 9 years (Reception to Year 4) and serves the mixed residential areas of Winyates East and Winyates Green.

Classes

The school is two-form entry per year. This means we have ten classes in total, with a maximum of 60 children per year group.

  • Reception (4/5 year olds)
  • Year 1 (Key Stage 1) x 2 classes
  • Year 2 (Key Stage 1) x 2 classes
  • Year 3 (Key Stage 2) x 2 classes
  • Year 4 (Key Stage 2) x 2 classes

School Opening Hours

  • Hedgehogs and Squirrels (Reception Classes): 8.50am to 3.00pm
  • Years 1 to 4: 8.40am to 3.05pm

Pre-School

We are very fortunate at Tenacres First School to have a Pre-School on site. Tenacres Littlefolks Pre-School is situated in our Children's Centre on the site of the school.

The Pre-School is run independently from the school and is one of our feeder pre-schools in to our Reception (EYFS) year group.

Please see the brochure below for more information and contact details for the Pre-School:
