Hello all,

The children have started this half term brilliantly and today we have enjoyed the school being full of Superheroes, Pudsey Bears, Princesses and lots of spots!  Thank you for all your support with donations today and for buying the wrist bands.  So far the monies raised for the charity is £516.00.  Another “thank you” for supporting The British Legion through buying poppies and we will let you know the total raised in the coming weeks when The British Legion let us know.

You may have seen the post signage around outdoor areas of school from Worcestershire County Council reminding all of the importance of social distancing and the responsibility of all.  Masks have been made mandatory in schools with Year 7 pupils upwards.  Masks are not mandatory currently in the Primary sector but Worcester County Council advise if schools have limited access i.e. one gate entrance and/or one entrance point in to the school masks are advisable.  As with all the key is being responsible in your own behaviours with social distancing and wearing masks if you wish, which everybody can do.

Reception, Years 1 and 2 parents/carers have had the opportunity to come and see their child’s Learning Journey and Maths books over the past few weeks.  This, as will all at the moment has had to be imaginatively and safely done.  Week beginning 23rd November we are inviting Years 3 and 4 parents/carers to have this opportunity.  From 2.15pm-2.45pm you are invited on to the top playground via the gate. The class teacher will also be available on the playground.  Monday 23rd-3W/Tuesday 24th-3M/Wednesday 25th-4P and Thursday 26th-4B. More details to follow and as always a text reminder will be sent.

Phonics Play – Years R-4.  All children will have a log in sticker in their Home School Diaries.  This is a great reinforcement for Phonics.  We would also like to encourage our children to be completing reading at home.  Please let us know by signing their Home/School Diary.

Half term feedback – all children received a mini report (stapled in the Home/School Diary) accompanied by their own thoughts on the last half term found on pages 36/37.  Some parents have been asking about these so please take a look in their Home/School Diaries.

Singing Superstars – One of the festive activities this half term  will be all the children taking part in recording a Christmas CD/Music download.  The children will be recording in classes during a recording session with a professional company on Wednesday 25th November at school.  A letter will be sent home on the day with information to purchase.

Have a relaxing and safe weekend.
