Dear Parents/Carers

As you will be aware, the Government recently announced that schools could close a day earlier on Thursday 17th December.  Worcestershire County Council have not made this mandatory and is the decision of individual schools.  Tenacres WILL be open and term will end as originally planned at the end of the day on Friday 18th December.

Class Catering, our hot meal provider, are unable to provide a hot meal on Friday 18th December due to the closure of St. Bedes Middle school (where their kitchen is based), however a packed lunch can be provided and ordered in the usual way but MUST be ordered before 8am on Thursday 17th December.

This decision has been based on many factors including the inconvenience it would present to our parents and carers requiring childcare and also the many fun, festive activities the children have throughout the whole of next week (please see blog post from earlier in the week with details about all of these).

I also wanted to raise your awareness that from the evening of Sunday 20th December if a pupil tests positive, parents and carers should follow contact tracing instructions provided by NHS Track and Trace.  Should your child test positive before the evening of Sunday 20th December please contact me on head@tenacres.worcs.sch.uk.

Pupils who will be absent in the new term through exhibiting symptoms or in isolation should be reported to myself using the same email address.

Miss Marshall
