Hello all,

Firstly if you have not seen the blog post from 24th August below, please could you take a look as it contains important information regarding the start of term.

We have done incredibly well since the first March 2020 lockdown with only having one confirmed Covid case within the school.  This has been possible due to your support and we are wanting to maintain this and the safety of staff and children as we move in to this new academic year.  As mentioned in the previous blog post a class will not now need to self isolate should there be a positive case confirmed.  However, school will telephone you to inform you that your child has been a ‘close contact’ and he/she will need to be collected and get a PCR test.  We know you appreciate keeping all safe so we are asking for your child to be kept home whilst awaiting the result.  This way, we feel we can have a certain element of control with containing further positive cases.

The rest of the class will receive a text message informing you of a positive case and, we would appreciate a test being completed with the children.

As stated in the previous blog post we are maintaining all measures for the first half term and then reviewing these i.e. keeping bubbles etc.  Should Tenacres see an rapid increase in cases I will take the decision on Health and Safety grounds to revise these measures which may include reverting to procedures seen previously should a positive case be confirmed.

May I take this opportunity to thank you for you on-going support in keeping the Tenacres community safe.

We are all looking forward to seeing you on Monday.

Best wishes

Miss Marshall
