Tenacres has had a very busy half term and the children are certainly ready for their half term break!

The blog post from 24th August 2021 regarding timings explained that ‘For the first half term all will remain in place as before (from the March 2020 lockdown). This is for us to assess over the first half term how all is going’.

All teachers report that the vast majority of children are in school by 8.50am which means that they are able to complete the morning activities which impacts on their progress.  These activities are extremely important for consolidating aspects such as the previous day’s learning, phonics, reading books etc. Due to this reason Tenacres will revert to the pre-lockdown drop off times of Years 1 – 4 to 8.40am to 8.50am (doors close) and Reception to 8.50am -9.00am (doors close) from Monday 1st November.

In order to keep disruption to an absolute minimum for the class teacher and children, if your child is late they will need to be brought to the office entrance and parent/carers will need to sign their child in as late as opposed to knocking on classroom doors/windows.  We thank you in advance for this.

Kind regards

Miss Marshall
